Microporous seals (Sponge)
Mossy, internally porous and surface-smooth seals in gray-black to black.
Description and use – EPDM-microporous rubber profiles are used mainly as gaskets for switchboards, luminaires, windows, air conditioning, cable expansion joints, as well as in constructions (against resonance, vibrations), in floor expansion, in the automotive industry, but also other areas of industry.
Properties – they are characterized by reliability and good physical and mechanical properties in normal weather conditions at the temperatures of -40 °C to + 70 °C.
Design – they are produced in several basic shapes, such as square, rectangle, circular gasket, intermediate ring, and various specific hollow or reed gaskets. Gaskets can also be made as self-adhesive.
Material basis – in their production, a rubber EPDM mixture (a combination of EPDM + SBR or pure EPDM) with a specific weight of 0.3 to 0.8 g / cm 3 and a hardness of about 20 – 40 °ShA is used. In addition to standard materials meeting various demanding applications, we can also produce peroxide mixtures (sulfur-free), non-flammable profiles in terms of (NF F 16-101, ISO 45545), products in terms of TL1010 and FMVSS 302, water supply materials set by EN681, gaskets for flood-protection walls, automotive gaskets according to VW 2.8.1
